Ball Bichat, fatty tissue of the mouth or “Buccal fat pad”, gets its name due to the anatomist who first described it. It is a fat tissue that is located in the region of the cheeks in front of the masseter muscle and superficial to the buccinator muscle. Its function is somewhat little known.
It is believed that even being a fat tissue volume varies little with the oscillating weight, so that even people showing ideal weight or close it may have a round face and chubby cheeks resulting from a large Bichat ball.
Is a quick surgery with short recovery period and with very satisfactory result.
